You read the blurb below the photo (read it NOW if you haven't already, and that IS my piggy bank by the way), but you still want to know more. Hmmm, okay, here goes.
I'm single, female, have no dependents (other than the feline kind), am Dutch-Canadian, and am in my mid-forties. But I only mention those boring demographic factors because they probably affect my economic status and outlook. Undoubtedly more relevant is my belief in having multiple streams of income, and my decision many moons ago to not ever work full-time. (There are just too many other fun and crazy things to do!)
So what is this blog really about then? Well, it’s not about debt reduction (I’m fortunate enough not to have any), it’s not about investing or reaching certain financial goals (I’m better at stretching and saving than making or increasing), and it’s not about work too often (given what I said about it earlier), so I suppose it’s more about the psychology of money, how I relate to money, and anything/everything I’ve ever learned about frugality and personal finance. In short, just what the blurb says!
Oh, and I also really like grumpy old Maxine, snort. Which is why she's up there right beside the Money Quote Posts.
