I tried paying my taxes with a smile. They wanted money. --MAXINE
Snort. So, done yours yet? I always do mine early (as soon as the slips come in), and received my refund back in March already. Now they say you should be sensible and reinvest what you get back instead of spending it, but I put mine towards paying last month's rent on my new apartment. Which in a way is a good investment itself!

It certainly is a good investment! Good to see Maxine again, too! :) ... Instead of telling my story about never getting any taxes back (even though I was never making very much money) until George W. was in office (and that was about all I agreed with him about), I'll just say that my brother who graduated college with a degree in Natural Resources started out in college with a major in accounting. He smartened up in time and realized how much he would hate that for a career. And now, his life is only a little bit of a hell during tax time.

Yeah, love Maxine. I want to be just like her when I grow up. Okay, maybe a little less crabby, but basically....
Accounting eh? I've thought over the years that maybe I should have become a bookkeeper or something (I like numbers, like budgets, and even think doing taxes is fun!), but I dunno. I like being creative as well, and figured I'd get bored real quick just sticking to #'s.
