I'm not sure either! I'll let you know when I know, snort. For now though let me leave you with this:
I feel very rich when I have time to write and very poor when I get a regular paycheck and no time to work at my real work. --NATALIE GOLDBERG
(I completely get what Natalie is saying, even though blogging is my only form of writing these days.)
And this:
What you do instead of your real work is your real work. --ROGER EBERT
What about you? What is your real work?

Many moons ago when I was working "real jobs", my true passion was body-building. It was what I lived to do and my "jobs" were annoying places I had to go in order to finance my real life. :) Those days are long-gone. Now, my job is a volunteer job, but I have a set-schedule and a lot of responsibility, etc. and so much more fulfillment than I got from most paying jobs. My work now is taking care of and socializing feral cats at the shelter. I could go on and on, but I know all the cat-lovers out there reading already know everything I could say. ... This post reminds me of my favorite movie, "Office Space". There is a scene where they are discussing the old tradition of high school guidance counselors asking, "what would you do if you had a million dollars and didn't have to work"? (a million dollars went a lot further in old days) and whatever your answer is, that is what you should do for a living....if you like to fix old cars, become a mechanic, etc. Then one character points out that the question is b.s. because, "no one would clean up **** if they had a million dollars". The movie is way funnier than my bad description. :)

I definitely want to see that movie! It's gotten good reviews from others as well, and has been compared to "The Clockwatchers", a movie both of us enjoyed.
I think the job you have now (and it is a job regardless of whether you get paid) is so worthwhile. We can't save all animals of course, but at least we can change life for one creature at a time.

Thanks, TOTPB. ... Maybe you can check out "Office Space" from your library. You'll love it!

The movie's on hold! Now if only I had time to see it, snort.
