By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may eventually get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day. --ROBERT FROST
Not! At least, not in my case. Tomorrow I start my first 12-hour shift and do another on Sunday, but as a lowly worker instead of a boss. Still, I can't really complain. Even though the weekend tires me out (I'm literally on my feet for almost 23 of the 24 hours), it's nice to be able to compress my primary job into two days. I mean, how many other people can say that their official workweek is two days on, five days off? Snort.

Thanks for the link - I would guess with those hours that you work in the health care field?

You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I work in a rest home for adults with mental disabilities. Challenging, but interesting.

It IS nice to compress it into two days like that. Too bad it takes about another two afterwards to recover. :)

Actually, I'm starting to think that I need to look for a job where I can work 8-hour shifts instead. Last weekend I had booked four hours off on Sunday, and boy what a difference! I was merely tired rather than completely wiped.
